Bountiful Basket Food Shelf

Eliminating hunger for people in need, across Eastern Carver County, one family at a time!

Make A Real Change In Someone’s Life

During everyone’s life there is a period when we need help. For many this help comes in the form of food assistance to get them through their time of need. In a typical 12 month period the Bountiful Basket Food Shelf distributes over 300,000 lbs. of food. All of the 15,000 individuals served are neighbors and fellow community members who live in Eastern Carver County.

Hungry Minnesota families miss 100 million meals each year. 9.5% of households in Minnesota are food insecure and will struggle to find enough food this week. This equates to 1 in 10 households, many with children. Since 2008, visits by seniors to suburban food programs have increased by more than 70%. Reducing senior citizens hunger benefits their health, nutrition and general well-being.
